Since I work 54 hours a week at other jobs, I decided to create the LIPS story as a computer animation so that I could do everything myself at odd hours without the need to rely on actors, cameramen, etc. At the time having to learn 3d modeling and computer animation seemed just minor inconveniences only slightly complicated by the fact that I had no experience or mentors, and only a 800mhz, 512mb computer -

Being a borderline insomniac I am often buffered from the hard knuckles of self realization by the dish-pan hands of delusion.

What I had not fully appreciated however, was the interminable render times and the data management skills needed to keep track of the massive amounts of files generated by the process. A computer crash finally put me out of my misery.

But time wounds all heals, and I'm back at it, only now using a hybrid of techniques and various media to forestall insanity. I'll be posting fragments from the original production as well as tasty bits from the new one as I go along.
